ANTI RAGGING
Ragging is a crime which destroys the physical and mental confidence of the students. No incident of ragging has been found in our nursing institute premises.
ANTI RAGGING MEASURES AT MNI
PROHIBITION OF RAGGING
- Ragging within the institute campus including its hospital and hostel id strictly prohibited.
- Ragging in any form is prohibited. Also in private lodges/buildings or any place where students are staying.
- No person including students/ staff/ faculty shall participate or abet or propagate ragging in any form
PUNISHMENTS
- Cancellation of admission, suspension, rustication or expulsion from the institute/ hostel.
- FIR with the police and arrest.
- More severe punishment where justified such as fine/ imprisonment etc.
- Collective punishment may be impose where involved person are not identified.
MEASURES FOR CURBING RAGGING
BEFORE ADMISSION
- Admission prospectus and admission letter have full text of anti ragging regulations.
- Application form and especially the registration form at the time of admission will require two affidavits on Rs.10.00 stamp paper each, one signed by the parent and other by the students.
- Create awareness through publicity posters, leaflets etc. among the students and the guardians before start of the academic session. Posters and banners are placed in all prominent places including hostels, cafeterias and common activity areas and entry points.
AFTER ADMISSION
- Freshers are advised not to hesitate or feel shy of reporting any incident of ragging either as a victim or as a witness.
- Important contact numbers should be entered and saved in their mobile phones.
- Anti ragging complaint boxes have been placed in selected areas of institution and hostel for students who may drop their complaints of ragging for necessary action by the anti-ragging committee members
